Russian Constructivism-research

Vladimir Tatlin is considered to be the founder of Constructivism, and his work is a very interesting example of the Russian Constructivism. His style seems to be more of the scuptural rather than print, but his work was a big inspiration tp post-Revolutionary Constructivism Art.

Bröderna Stenberg, puts a lot of Graphic elements into his work, unfortunately everything about him is in Russian so i'm not able to tell you more about his works.

Gustav Klutsis, had an interesting idea of superimposing they were called photo montages. Though personally i think its more political insight. He also had a large interest in experimental media and used any kind of propaganda to enhance his work.

Alexander Rodchenko, was more realistic but also favored the Photo Montage. He regarded his camera as a drawing instrument, which i suppose it would have been in a way back then. He challenging any photographer that worked for him with a range of unusual tasks he got his final product. He seemed to be one of the more influential artists of the style, with information about him very forthcoming.

Russian Constructivism has many different design elements included in the style.
Major contributors are,
Line: Which is usually quite harsh, to accent certain points in the composition.
Shape: Shape is a building block of this style, as it is needed to create the 'everyday' feel of the Constructivism style.
Colour: often, This style is accentuated with bright backgrounds or overlays, these brighten the compositions and sometimes helps to add a specific emotion.
Most use a combination of both Bitmap and Vector graphics.
Also sometimes portrayed is the Background, Middle Ground and Foreground, which gives the sense of depth.
Texture: is interestingly used in the form of the paper the composition is printed upon.
Depending on what design you look at there can be many others.

I really like this style because of it's simplicity, again i always go back to that point of simplicity. But this i think is more meaningful than just another poster, the political side to it is also very attractive to me, it gives the works life.
